No doodles this time around but here's another spit paint the theme I chose was "Halloween Mansion". Probably won't be satisfied with these for awhile trying to get used to digital painting. xP

Oh another year of school and I've been busy like no other! I just wanted to do something fun and new just to kinda show and see for myself how far i've grown just a quick self portrait off of my face! Hope you enjoy! ALSO a couple weeks ago there was a 24 hour animation contest held by CTN. San Jose State had 14 teams in the competition!! WOOT REPRESENT!! We took home 2nd and 4th place, my team did not place but hell I am proud of my team regardless!! and I will include a link below to that video!

Wow well I had it way off! This time I did not over lap to make sure everything was positioned correctly. I did my best with measuring and laying it in. Hm I definitely learned a lot with this one, my friend Jonathan Chu helped me get a process going to make the most out of this and use all my abilities. This just got way more difficult but way more fun! I might just have to redo this one looking at them side by side and from farther away, I might have to change my approach as well!
BTW This might be my last screen cap for the next few days because I am bringing my computer into the apple store to get fixed. But I am working on a story to start storyboarding for fun and I will be doing storyboarding exercises with my old professor and good friend Jeff Jackson! I will be posting those up and my progress!

Screen Cap provided by this site
This is my second screen cap and I took advice from those who provided it, I used a hard brush and just went with value... kinda? it was still pretty difficult I noticed I took a long time in the composition stage. I just wanted everything to be in the right place cause again theres reason for it being there. I tried putting only the big values and tried not to put a lot of color cause I couldn't help it. for my next one I will probably just do black and white. Maybe keep the reference in color as well! maybe.. suggestions? Anyway I am learning a lot from this especially just digital painting and getting the hang of it. Choosing which drawing to do takes me FOREVER, I either get distracted by all the scenes or just cant find one I like. I try studying them too which takes for ever cause I find a lot of things in other movies or other stills that are interesting to me. Till next time!

Screen Cap provided by this site
So this is my first Screen cap Photoshop drawing. I have never done this before and I am really doing this to improve my digital drawing skills, composition skills, and managing my skills. I will be doing this over the summer and will post every single one to show my progress! It will improve and there is already a lot I learned from this painting alone! Check out my other friends doing this Danielle Case and my inspiration/mentor for starting this Jonathan Chu! This will be a fun summer and this was really fun to do! Any criticism I will gladly take and again I'm not the best with photoshop and this was my first time doing it. I kinda just jumped into without really knowing what to do hahaha! Till next time!!

This is my Hero Tree for my class Ani-113b (intermediate project, weird class name I know). This was done in Photoshop CS5 and the project was to create a tree in a forest environment. Mine is really more of a stump than a tree but its a dying stump that is breathing new life amongst trees that are growing. That was the general idea I had. The next step for the assignment is to take this and do the painting in acrylic! I can't wait to see it finished!
This is the color palette I am aiming for there still need to be tweaks and more cools in the shadows but these are the general colors I am aiming to do!
I hope you enjoy and I will be working on the final acrylic painting from here and I can't wait to post the finished piece! Till next time!

So this is my first Pastel piece.... Obviously I need more work I just wanted to see what I could do and I just gotta keep doing it!! The Mid-Program Portfolio has been turned in and I feel really confident about it! I've always loved pastel and I just want to get better at it so hopefully I can get more practice and of course critiques are always welcomed.
This is it my Spring 2013 Portfolio submission! I would really like to thank Rachel Roubicek, Caitlin Dudley, Lancing Chen, All my A/I friends, all my friends, and my family for pushing me and helping me and just being there for me I could not have done it with out any of your guys help and encouragement. I've only gotten stronger and I will continue to get stronger and someday produce more amazing things on the big screen! Wish me Luck!!
